I Am That Mom..

     I swear I never liked Christmas, I was that person to volunteer to work it for the extra money. Going to see Santa at the mall with your kids seemed ridiculous and time consuming to me. Then to hear all my mom friends go on n on about what they got their kids and how excited they are. Like I care ,I'd think!
    This year, having a baby and two stepsons. I couldn't wait to get down to Santa to get our pictures taken! Even bought special outfits for everyone to wear! All for a $7.99 picture! THAT I WILL CHERISH FOREVER!!
    I go on and on about how excited I am. Really though..I don't care if people care or not! That's how excited I am! Presents are bought..almost all wrapped. Outfits are ready. 3 more sleeps until it happens!
     I'm THAT mom, obsessed with her kids and thinks the whole world cares about it. They don't.

Silent Sunday?

The Great *Solid* Debate!

I think it's so funny how everyone has a different opinion about solids and when to introduce it. It's almost as bad as the formula bashers.
The thing is people, you have your own babies to what you wiish with. Feed what you want, dress em how you want. Unless people are asking for your opinion..really feeding their baby is a good thing!! My baby is 4 months old this week, she's formula fed, and has been eating infant cereal with apples mixed in for almost a month now!! :0

Love My Droid!!

So ladies and however few gents may come across my blog...I got myself an android. And for the big Google user I am..I am in love. Final and last step was getting my blog on my phone. Done. I don't even need a laptop. I am seriously amazed at the shit my phone can do! Today I got a baby rattle app for my baby! When she touches it..it makes different sounds. She LOVES LOVES LOVES it. All on my phone! K I sound crazy now I think..anyways y'all droids kickass. Period.

My Mother Says...

     My mother says my recent blog posts make me sound like motherhood is making me crazy! It's definitely not! It's living with my MIL!! LOL I aboslutely adore my bubba, and motherhood is defintely amazing! Of course it does make me crazy sometimes I wouldn't be human if it didn't!!

    I'm very thankful C is STTN now!! Three nights in a row! Normally we were up at 4am on the dot everyday, now its 7! She also goes to bed with no problems! She's fed, bathed and put to bed with her Fisher Price Aquarium running...and she's out in no time! IM LUCKY! I keep wondering when it;'s all going to end. I keep hoping and praying that it's going to stay this way...HA..teething will be upon us soon!

   Seeing her change everyday is the crazy part..watching her learn all these new things. Today I got up to get her a bottle at 7am, when i left she had socks on. When I came back, her socks were over her head..apparently she figured out how to pull em off! LOL. She sat there staring at me smiling. Too funny !

Rogers F*cked us...

          So, I've been with Rogers Wireless since Feb, I have the blackberry curve..i love blackberry, most people I know have it so I love my BBM. My boyfriend(M) was with Telus for his phone, he has a MIKE phone and he liked it while having it however I keep telling him there are easier ways to text now then pressing the same button a million times just to get to the letter 'c'.

ANYWAY....

       His contract is up, hes been interested in the iphone, hes so technologically retarded thouugh I was a little nerous for him to get it, for fear of paying a 3 yr contract for an iphone that was smashed in our driveway after day one. The guy convinces him at Rogers to get the new Samsung Galaxy android phone. He paid 150$ on a 3 yr contract. In doing this we went on a couples plan so I had to restard my contract meaning more time until I get to upgrade...but.. He loves it, its great whatever.

         Last night we shipped all the kids over to The Nana's house (thank you nana!) and we went out to M's cousins hosue. His mother happened to be there, low and behold SHE got a samsung galaxy from Rogers too! FOR FREE!!! Then we go back this morning and his cousin ALSO got the same phone for free. WELL...he had to run right down there and get this straightened out. Coming with me? He asks me. Ummmm to watch you make a HUGE scene in Rogers..no thank you.

       Needless to say "Rogers" doesnt have this plan, but if he went downstairs to Wireless Wave then he could get it there WITH ROGERS for $50.00 (turns out it wasnt the same phone as his aunt, but it was still $100.00 cheaper!!). Anyways the a**hole of an employee tells M that its different, its not Rogers offering this. M says fine take your phone back and ill go down there get the other phone and then ill still have my same plan WITH ROGERS.

       After plenty of arguing, this kid finally decided he'll give M $100.00 refund. Even after agreeing to do this, M had to wait there for another 30 mins before getting it. We're really not impressed. I will be calling tomorrow, I want my phone upgraded now..for my inconvenience.  F*cking a**holes though....

*They* Say They Grow Up So Fast...

      My little one is already 2 months old. It's honestly been amazing watching her change and seeing all the new things she's already learned to do.  She's grown and changed so much, she doesn't feel so fragile and breakable anymore. Being a mom is definitely the most amazing experience I've ever had! Her newest favourite activity is talking..well baby talking..but she'll babble on for an hour a time pretty much! She answers me when I talk to her, and looks SO serious while doing it. I miss her when she sleeps then feel frustrated when she won't sleep and needs too. LOL. I love my bubba, she's definitely a mamas girl <3

Long Weekend

            Labor Day Weekend. In our parts that means one thing: Newington Fair. Although I'd have to say it was a little weird without my good friend Chelsea there, it was a great weeekend. Friday night mom agreed to babysit the little one so her mommy and daddy could have a night out. We went out to the fair for the Demolition Derby. My cousin won 150$ in it...too bad we could hardly see him win, I think you'd have to get there at 3 in the afternoon to get a seat. Every year I say *this year im actually watching the derby* , then I get there and remember why I never do. So we spent a few hours after that in the Beer Gardens. I had a few beers, maybe one too many (hehe) , saw a bunch of people I havent seen in a long time, icluding my cousins I only ever see at the fair. So it was a good night. Charley was good for Nana too and actually slept.
         Saturday, as a result of me maybe having one too many beers the night before, we slept in a little. Decided to go back to the fair with Charley, I bought her an adorable Moose hat, that won't fit her for years to come but I loved it. Then came home for an early night.

                Sunday, the day of the baby contest OF COURSE it had to rain. It did clean up but by the time we would have gotten there it would have been to late to register. We decided to go to Ottawa and venture into Babies R Us. WELL that was a HUGE mistake!! I never having been before wanted EVERYTHING! definietely should have gone before I had Charley! Anyway Charley slept through the whole day like a good lil baby.  We then came home, realized we were starving and hadnt taken anything out for supper.

            We decided to go to Kelseys. I still have a lot of anxiety about going out in public with a baby, especially one that likes to be as *vocal* as Charley does. However after going to Kelseys alot of that anxiety was lost. She was awake and good in her seat most of the meal. Then on mamas lap. Looking around there was a LOT of other baby's being fussy and moms and dads pacing up and down the isles with them. Made me feel better. Plus that place is so loud even when she did let out a few crys I'm sure noone heard!

             Today we're just being lazy and sittin around the house, some how baby things have managed to cover my entire house. I guess at some point i will have to clean. It was a great weekend, and hopfully will be a good week too. Especially since school is starting tomorrow!! YAY!! *ITS THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR* !!!!!  BAD stepmommy. lol .



Hope everyone else had a swell weekend too..sorry if soome of this didnt make sense, I may be drifting off and dont remember one sentence to the next. Zombie Mom.

I'm a Mama!

           So I guess I've been behind on this whole blogging thing. I honestly don't know where these mamas find time to do it! However most are shocked that I get a shower in everyday so who knows! haha . So Charley Mae was born on July 13th 2011, she was 6lbs 8oz and 21 inches long. She's absolutely amazing, I still do not have any pictures on my computer to put up on here but i promise I will eventually, I'm just lazy hehe.
          The Labour was about 26 hrs long if i count from when the contractions started. 12 hrs from when they broke my water. It was a LOT more insane then I ever thought it would be. However I'd endure it 100 times more for that little girl.
       Well as I am a new mama, shes awake and hungry now so I must run!

she still hasnt come out!!!

    Well, my due date is tomorrow, and she still hasn't come out. I guess it's my first baby so its "normal" for them to be late, right?! Anyway, I've been trying to keep myself busy. I'll have to get my pictures on here to show everyone my nursery and what not. So this passed weekend we thought it'd be a good idea to go camping, right BEFORE the baby comes!
 
  Well, i was swollen, burnt, hot, tired..the WHOLE weekend. thursday to sunday! It was good fun though, and all the kids loved it, so thats what's important. Thank god my bfs uncle has a motorhome that he let us borrow, *air conditioning*!! I kno, I know thats not REALLY camping with those luxerys but listen, I've done my fair share of camping hardcore in a tent pissing rain and loved it just the same. This time im 9 months pregnant and yes that air conditioning was fab! My other camping luxery (I'll hvae to post a picture on here at some point), was my 30$ blow up lounger!  It was amazing..it even had an ottomon, honestly, worth every penny! If you're gonna do it, do it right! RIGHT!?

  Anyway, we were hoping that going camping would jynx me into labor (we weren't far from the hosptal). It didn't. The baby was more active that weekend then she's probably been in monts and i was loving it(other then the excrutiating rib kicks on on my drive up there). She's been on a regular awake and sleep schedule for a while now. So this morning when I hadn't felt her for over 12 hours I was really concered. I waited a while longer but my mother, mother in law and boyfriend suggested i call my dr. Which then resulted in us going to the hospital.

   Now, I'll tell you right now I drink more water then ANYONE i know! I never leave me house without a bottle of water, there is constantly a bottle of water at my side or in my hand. So i get to the hospital, baby has an elevated heart rate, and they think im dehydrated. ME?! So, I had to go on IV for about an hour I'd say and all went back to normal. While going on IV the baby moved like effin crazy...as soon as it came off she stopped. She's likely just tired I'm sure. I have felt her a few times still this evening so I'm staying calm. Dr's again in the morning for my regular apointment.

  At 40 weeks pregnant, I'm ready for it to all be over!! come out and see us baby!!! (baby with no name! LOL)

I went shopping today...

  I don't remember who it was but I was reading a blog the other day one of my twitter mamas had written about going shopping while pregnant and then afterwards with a stroller. Getting the "stink eye" for shopping while pregnant in a NON maternity store.

WELL...

  I go into a store today that I ALWAYS shop at. Most of them know me, one of the girls there is 6 months pregnant and was even showing me which clothes she's bought from there while pregnant. Seriously i bought a wife beater tank top (i own a million) and a spandex type dress. I also already own one of these types of dresses in a different colour, its perfect and comfy andI can wear it with spandex kapris theyre very cute.

SO..

   I get to the cash and the girl looks at me, "would you like to try these on?" I said "No, i already own clothes like them, It'll be fine.". She then says "Well I'd advise you to keep the reciept in case they dont fit".   I was about to be like LISTEN BITCH... but I was polite and said yah thanks and left.

Like fuck off I've been pregnant for 9 months now I KNOW what im doing! LOL

Pregnant in Public..

So, a fellow Tweeter and I were talking this morning about how funny it is running errands while being pregnant. No matter where you go or what you’re doing theres always someone that wants to give you their ‘two cents”. I went out one day few weeks ago, right now I am 39 weeks pregnant, and within the same day I was told I’m carrying high, then low, then its a boy then they say its a girl! Like everyone has something different to say. It’s as if becuase while THEY were pregnant that something happened to them, well that’s just the way it is for everyone!

I THINK, I do not know as I have NOT had my child yet, but I think that after giving birth it must make you automatically assume you are a pregnancy “expert” of some kind!? NOT saying everyone is this way and I definitely don’t want to sound ignorant or rude so relax. I’m sure I will think I’m some kind of expert as well…I mean aren’t I after this long?! haha. Y’all just need to remember : EVERY PREGNANCY IS DIFFERENT!

Do you know how stupid you look when you tell me “I MUST be having a boy” and then I go to a different store and they tell me “I MUST be having a girl” ?? Y’all sound ridiculous, and I’m the one that has to hear it evvvvverrrryyytime I go out in the world! AND the WORST ones are the ones that keep going ON and ON, while I’m clearly trying to get away..slowly backing up…looking away from them..NOT engaging in the conversation..i really dont care what your (you being a random person) opinion is of me!

I do however, LOVE and WELCOME , personal stories. It’s always amazing to hear about other womens stories of their pregnancy and their children. Hearing stories, and experiences are wonderful, I love it, I follow every mom possible on twitter I think, for their stories and words of wisdom. BUT there is a difference between sharing a story of what happened to you while you were pregnant, and ASSUMING that its happening to me!

Anyway, one week till my due date, then I’m sure I’ll be comparing labour stories with people, and they wont be able to imagine WHY id have “this” kind of labor becuase THEY didn’t. oh well eh.. its amusing. Like i said I’m sure I’ll assume I’m a pro too but i wont be ASSUMING anything about anyone. To be completely honest, I really don’t feel the need to even talk to random people while I’m shopping period. pregnant or not. LOL k now I just sound like a bitch.


Let’s hope i keep up this blogging now that im computer equipped! LOL
