A New Love...

This summer our family found a new love.

            CAMPING!!!!

OK, yes, we always did camp, however this campground we found and fell in love with this summer is truly awesome. We never waned to go to it because it isn't on the river, which the regular campgrounds we go to are. However, friends of ours were going and we decided to go with them. We were going for two nights and three days, and we ended up staying the entire summer!

It's privately owned. The owners are awesome, they do SUCH a great job. For people like us with kids of all ages, it works, it works GREAT. There's swimming pools, trampolines, an arcade, a water slide, parks, volley ball, horse shoes, not to mention weekly events. They do a bingo, adult ONLY bingos (nice!), they have themes for every weekend, even kereoke nights. Our favourite weekend was Halloween. The entire campground decorated for Halloween and all the kids got to go trick or treating. I'm thinking Christmas will be my favourite but we missed it this year!

It was chaotic and wild, and the camper was a mess, the dog was wild, we were dirty. AND WE LOVED EVERY SECOND! This year we're hoping to get a new camper, as here isn't enough room for all of our kids in the old one. It was a pretty cramped summer. Now I'm busy away, pinning all these camper ideas! So much to think about, we stay all summer so it's really like having a second house. We have plans of making a deck, a dog run, a shed. We never want to leave there. lol.

My sister in law came out for a weekend and they ended up getting a camper for the rest of the summer too. It's really awesome, when you see your kids running around and riding bikes, swimming, fishing,  NOT playing video games. The kids are up, and gone. And they LOVE it. Adults can walk around holding a beer, without having their heads bitten off by 'park narcs', which really, should be a camping law! At night we'd put the kids to bed, turn on the baby monitors, and the adults get some ADULT time!!

Camping this summer brought my family closer together, my husband and I closer together, and gave us something to look forward to as a family, something we all love. We very much look forward to going back this year.

New Year, New You!

Yet again, another year has come and gone. SO much has gone on again, obviously, it has been a year! This year I believe I've learned more about myself then I have in any other year. The main thing I've learned is that happiness is a choice, and you have to choose whether or not you want to be happy. I still stuggle time to time. BUT I believe I am truly happy. I have a great husband, beautiful children, a roof over my head, and best of all, we're all healthy.

Cheers ~ J

Summer Girl

This has been the longest winter of my life, so much has happened. I have "winter blues" and "cabin fever". I just want summer. I want to play outside and not wear shoes and drink beer on my porch. I want a swing set and little four wheeler toys. I want to go swimming, and wear dresses. IT'S TIME!!!!
